Author's Note (11/10/2025): Hello everyone! I wanted to explain why this chapter is part comic and part novella. When I was initially working on this prologue, I intended it to be in comic format, but while I was in the middle of it, I had my child in the spring of 2022. It was a significant and wonderful change to become a new mom, but it was difficult to draw while keeping a small human alive and well cared for. While I still did the occasional art project here and there, I couldn't quite get back into comics. Fortunately, it was easier for me to write this story (as well as others) while raising my child. This is why I chose to finish some of these stories in written format instead. 

I may eventually return to comics, as life changes and I can make room for the work that goes into drawing them. Still, for now, I am focusing on finishing these stories in whatever medium I am capable of using at the moment. That way, you all will get the pleasure of having a finished story.
